“Bridging the Aquaculture and Fisheries Gap between Asian – African Countries via improved Cooperation”

To share and disseminate the achievements from individual national efforts at technological advancement and policy development in aquaculture and fisheries to help elevate the socio-economic status of the countries in the Asian and African region;
To facilitate opinion, dialogue, ideas and consensus building;
To encourage farmers and small business stakeholders;
To act as a mechanism in identifying talented youth researchers in the African region and connecting them with the Asian region;
To ensure Pathways linking fisheries and aquacultureto poverty and food security; and
To gather all stakeholders including the farmers, researchers, policymakers and all enthusiastic individuals to join us in our commitment and continue mobilizing valuable knowledge-sharing among the regions.

To gather, disseminate and encourage research, scientific, and technological development and advancement of Fisheries and Aquaculture
To support the development and growth of the aquaculture industry and policy framework
To facilitate the knowledge exchange within the aquaculture community by conducting seminars, forums, and discussion of information, findings, and experiences on all subject and techniques related to Fisheries and Aquaculture
To develop the career of researchers through publication and other opportunities
To facilitate institutional strengthening and capacity building amongst the members
To develop purposeful projects that focus on supporting fisheries and aquaculture stakeholders, including producers, traders, consumers, researchers, policymakers, NGOs globally.
