SSAFC is established to Bridging the Fisheries and Aquaculture Gap between Asian – African Countries via wide Cooperation. To that end, SSAFC facilitates the development, exploitation, utilization, management and marketing of fisheries aquaculture resources sustainably through collaborations, partnerships and researches. It does this by organizing conferences, workshops, exhibitions and campaigns to help address south and east regional issues, organize events and lobby the relevant with the Network.
